Get ready for the 18th year of Power Training, 9 weeks of mountain bike group training ride sessions

2016 Power Training coaching provided by Rod Dagneau and Bob Welbourn

Power Training week 1 is set to roll on May 4th, 2016! Wednesday evenings for 9 weeks, starting 6:00pm (that's pm so no joke) in the BMX parking lot at Inter River Park, and leaving the parking lot by 6:15pm (at least for the first evening).

This is a nice central location to start rides up to the Richard Juryn and Camp Brick trails, or a short commute over to Lower Seymour Trails. If you can down ride most of the RIchard Juryn single track you will be well-equipped to ride all the trails used during training sessions.

The format will still focus on development of fitness for what ever races and adventurers you plan for your summer, but there will be a bit more of a group ride style and less doing intervals from one spot (Homestead may end up being the replacement for Cardiac when we get later into the season, so there will still be some uphill pain, hint hint).

Access to Inter River is from Premier Road, located behind the Holiday Inn (easy off ramps if you are driving)

If traffic is bad and you are coming from south of the Second Narrows Bridge, you can bike over the new super wide sidewalk and leave your car in Burnaby

Change rooms will not always be available, but there is the Holiday Inn and Ron Andrews Pool near by. Hope to see you there.
