Who is West Coast Racing?
West Coast Racing is a community cycling club operating as a not-for-profit society run entirely by volunteers from within its membership. Various outdoor and indoor cycling programs are run by West Coast Racing year-round for mountain bikers, road riders, and cyclocrossers. West Coast Racing is also the organizer of the Vanier Park Cyclocross Classic, drawing a huge portion of the local cyclocross community every October to this long-running BC Cup stalwart, including the increasingly popular family/youth events. The 2008 Cardiac Classic is proudly sponsored by a select group of premier sponsors which include Hansen Industries, Thomas Skinner, North Shore Bike Shop, and Race Face.

Other participating sponsors include Active Life Physio, Atac Sportswear, Que Pasa, Ryders Eyewear, Schwalbe Tires, and Whole Foods.

We would also like to thank the following organizations for their assistance in planning for the 2008 Cardiac Classic Bike Fest;

BMBA's Board of Directors report that “The BMBA congratulates West Coast Racing on receiving approval for this event. The BMBA has worked with the City of Burnaby over the past five years to promote the establishment, preservation and sustainability of a complete trail network. We look forward to this event showcasing what Burnaby Mountain has to offer mountain bikers while demonstrating responsible practices that maintain the integrity of the trails.”

West Coast Racing is cooperating with the BMBA to help support trail maintenance activities on Burnaby Mountain.
