Event Schedule (subject to change, please check back often for updated information)
  •   9:30am - Registration opens (sign on ends 15 minutes prior to each start)
  • 10:00am - Neutral Support provided by Bike Gallery for all racers
  • 10:30am - Cat 3/4 Men, Citizen Men / Women and U17 (40 minutes)
  • 11:15am - Free Steed Cycles Kids' Cross, age 10 and under (mini-course, ~5minutes, parental assistance allowed)
  • 11:30am - Free Steed Cycles Kids' Cross, age 11-15 ( short course, ~15minutes, part of Cycling BC Learn-to-Race)
  • 11:45am - Awards / Podium for first events
  • 12:00pm - Free BBQ lunch for all participants courtesy of M&M Meat Shops
  • 12:00pm - Master 30+ Men 3/4,  Cat 1/2 / Master Women (45 minutes)
  •   1:00pm - Cat 1/2 Men (60 minutes), Master 30+ Men 1/2 (45 minutes)
  •   2:15pm – Awards / Podium for final events

Note: Mountain bikes allowed in all races except Cat 1/2 races.  Only cyclocross bikes per UCI regulations are allowed for Cat 1/2 races. Disc brakes are allowed for all races.

Racers from the US get a $5 border crossing discount.
Racers from Vancouver Island/Sunshine Coast get a $5 ferry crossing discount (+$5 for the car) - you will have to show the ferry receipt to get the discount.

  • UCI, USCF and CCA (incl. Cycling BC) license holders or Cycling BC Citizen license holders.
  • One-day license from Cycling BC is available for $10.
  • All kids age 15 and under (for Free Kids' Race).
  • Please note: Medical coverage is not available at the event for non-BC racers, and should be acquired in advance from a suitable provider.

Numbers

Racers will get  a number that is theirs for the season at their first race. It is their responsibility to bring that number in a legible format to each race. They are allowed one replacement number free of charge during the season. The 3rd set will be charged at $10.
Master men and master women will have shoulder numbers and will be designated with an "M" starting the number series.

Who is West Coast Racing?

West Coast Racing is a community cycling club operating as a not-for-profit society run entirely by volunteers from within its membership. Various outdoor and indoor cycling programs are run by West Coast Racing year-round for mountain bikers, road riders, and cyclocrossers. West Coast Racing is also the organizer of the Cardiac Classic BC Cup Cross Country event and the West Coast Super D.
