The 2015 Vanier Park CX Classic is proud to be a part of both the Vancouver Cyclocross Coalition series AND the Cycling BC Premier CX series.
 
Event Schedule (subject to change, please check back prior to event for any updated information)
  • 9:30am - Check-in and Registration opens for Beginner (C) race
  • 10:00am - Practice Open
  • 10:30am - Beginner (C) race start
  • 10:30am - Check-in and Registration opens for Elite(A) race
  • 11:15am - Beginner Podium
  • 11:30am - Elite (A) race start
  • 11:30am - Check-in and Registration opens for Intermediate(B) race
  • Free BBQ for all registered racers - yum!
  • 12:45pm - Steed Cycles Kid's Race, small course grouped by run bikes/bikes with no gears/geared bikes, age 7-11 option for lap of full CX course
  • 1:15pm - Intermediate(B) race start
  • 2:15pm - Final Podium

Laps of modified small course, or option (ages 7-11) for 1 lap full CX course

 

 

Notes:

  • Mountain bikes allowed in all races except for Elite categories.  Only cyclocross bikes per UCI regulations are allowed for Elite races.
  • Bring your cloth bib numbers and timing chip from the other Vancouver Cyclocross Coalition series events. Technology and services for timing and results powered by Escape Velocity.
  • Racing age is determined as of age on 31 Dec 2016 in accordance with UCI rules.

Open to any of the following
  • UCI, USCF and CCA (incl. Cycling BC) license holders or Cycling BC Citizen license holders.
  • Cycling BC Citizen license holders are eligible to race Beginner and Intermediate categories.
  • Elite racers must hold a UCI race license.
  • One-day license from Cycling BC is available for $10 adult ($5 for U17 and younger)
  • Kids Cross entries FREE - NO pre-registration required. (Kids age 12 and under).
  • Please note: Medical coverage is not available at the event for non-BC racers, and should be acquired in advance from a suitable provider.

 

Entry fees and registration
  • Take advantage of our "Fast Lane" express check-in on site at race day (for racers who already have 2015 VCXC bib number and timing chip) by registering online until Friday, October 2nd at 11:59 PM.

     
  • Online registration: adult $30.00 CAD, or youth (U19 and younger) $20
  • Race day registration $35.00 CAD/USD, or youth (U19 and younger) $25
  • Racers from Vancouver Island and the U.S. are welcome to stay overnight. Please contact us (see the Contact Information section below) and we will arrange accommodation.
  • One-day event insurance for non-license holders, available at day-of registration or via online registration
  • Kids' Cross entries FREE, no pre-registrion required.
  • Race Day registration closes 15 minutes prior to each start, NO EXCEPTIONS!

Who is West Coast Cycling ?

West Coast Cycling  is a community cycling club operating as a not-for-profit society run entirely by volunteers from within its membership. Various outdoor and indoor cycling programs are run by West Coast Cycling year-round for mountain bikers, road riders, and cyclocrossers. West Coast Cycling has also organized many other events such as the Cardiac Classic Cross Country event and the West Coast Super D.

 

About 2015 Trek Red Truck Racing Team

The Trek Red Truck Racing Team is committed to develop young cyclists to reach their fullest potential in their cycling endeavors and as individuals. Through our sponsors and friends' support, we provide an environment where our young athletes can compete at the highest level while still maintaining their educational pursuits.
