Dear CX community,

Yes, Cross Is Back!

Vanier Park October 1, 2023.

We wanted and tried to get an earlier date, but sharing the park with Bard On The Beach, challenging. So we suffered the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, and had to settle for Sunday Oct. 1.

If you want to have some competitive racing and fun, join us at the usual location, Vanier Park Vancouver.

Thank you for your amazing support over the years. If you're wondering what you can do to help we would suggest coming out to race, volunteer and help make sure ours and all other Cyclocross races are supported this year. Currently the schedule is looking pretty good. There just might be time to start training.

In the event that the stars don’t line up and conditions arise that, perish the thought, we are forced to cancel the race, rest assured that for those of you who pre-registered, you will be getting full refunds through CCN.

For those without a CBC race license who would prefer to go with a Day-Of license, be warned, the price for this has increased and you will be limited to taking a Day-Of License three times. Day of licenses will be available through CCN. For the last minute crowd, there will be a QR Code link at registration.

Hope to see you on Oct. 1st, 2023.

Sincerely,

West Coast Cycling

Vanier Park CX is the largest and arguably the best location in the lower mainland to host a cyclocross (CX) race. Set against English Bay, Downtown Vancouver and Stanley Park you really can't find a more scenic venue. Vanier Park CX is part of the expanded Lower Mainland CX Series (#LMCX) and is sanctioned by CyclingBC.net.

Sponsors and Partners

The tentative course will be similar to prior year's, but different. We are always working on improvements. Updates to the course will be posted as they become available. Maybe.
We ask that you do not ride in the park for training or practice. The Parks Dept is not a fan of this and if you do, it will negatively impact our relationship with them and our ability to get the park for future events.

Directions & Parking

This year Bard on the Beach festival will NOT be present, but feel free to use their Directions and Parking on their website. You will need to pay for parking at the Vanier Park Lots. Do NOT park in the boat trailer area. If you don't pay for parking or park in the wrong place you will be ticketed or towed.
